Got an early start tonight (7pm) that I was supposed to have been informed of 2 days ago. Did I hear anything? Not a goddamn peep.
So I'll do it on short sleep. I don't like it at all, but I'll do it. I'm almost regretting my immediate supervisor going on maternity leave; her replacement's apparently a freakin' incompetent. This is far from his first screwup. :P

Allegra works great on my allergies, and just yesterday, I discovered yet another use for it.
It suppresses my allergy to apples....at least cooked apples. Not gonna push my luck, but this means I can have apple pie again!
I'm glad, 'cause I missed apple pie so much.

It's not that you're entirely awful, because you're not. And to be fair, I guess I've just been spoiled by running board rps where I was in charge of quality control. This is my first proper Tumblr RP blog and I'm not used to an open environment where I don't actually know the players. Thus, if I have any issues, it's considerably more awkward since I can't just IM you and go "so hey, uh, here's some things you can work on."

If you read the 1970s Pyramid paperback editions of Harlan Ellison, not to mention a whole lot of other books and record albums over most of the past fifty years, you knew the art of Leo and Diane Dillon.
Great sadness, as Leo Dillon passed away earlier this week at the age of 79. Our condolences to his companion and collaborator, Diane, and their family and friends.

Who are your favorite fantasy illustrators? (To differentiate from 19th- and early-20th-century illustrators such as Arthur Rackham, John Tenniel, and John R. Neill, and from graphic novels.) I'll never get tired of Bob Eggleton, Michael Whelan, and Olivia de Berardinis, but I have soft spots in my heart for Don Maitz, Stephen Hickman, and of course our darlings ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) dhstein, hbruton, and ursulav. Well, I've been fortunate that Mr. Murphy has, more or less, kept away from me for the time being. I've been quite fortunate in two regards:
One. My new thumbnail is regenerating slowly but steadily. I've lost well over 75% of the old nail, and the new one underneath seems to be coming in without any complications. The exposed quick is tender, but nothing really hurts. Just gotta keep being cautious until it's fully healed.
Two. I was terribly worried at my last oil change, as they barely managed to get the oil pan plug reseated properly; there was thread damage. Well, I just had the car in the shop yesterday for the newest oil change, and for any repairs if need be. They were able to re-thread the oil pan plug hole, good as new. So it cost me but a tiny fraction of what a pan replacement would have been. Phew.
Let's hope my luck continues to hold.

Hey gang!
As many of you may be aware, the schedule for Anthrocon 2012 has been released. In spite of that, my good buddy poinktferret will be doing some stand up Friday night. And since I will be filming this for a DVD (and possibly Blu-Ray) release, I'm looking for a few people to help out with the filming of the show as well (two stationary camera operators on each side of the room and one hand held camera operator to get some stage and crowd reaction shots). I do have a couple requirements, though:
1) Must have your own camera and it must be able to shoot in HD (hence the Blu-Ray mention)
2) Must be able to shoot in 1080/24p
The show is at 10pm and as such, I would like the film crew to arrive at LEAST one hour before show time so that we can set up and be ready to roll at 10:00. I will provide SD cards if need be. This is an hour and a half long show, so I'll make sure I have cards with plenty of space. I will also be bringing a few tripods as well, but if you have your own tripod to bring, that would be great, too. So, anyone interested in helping out with the shoot is asked to e-mail me at pollick529(at)yahoo(dot)ca and we can discuss it further. And of course, please replace "at" and "dot" with their respective symbols when e-mailing.

Dreaded letter format
Dear you While it’s nice you are interested in the only human OC I am playing at the moment but he is in a relationship. Its an odd one and its not romantic and its more a deep friendship but they are in a relationship none the less.
You threw a tantrum over this. Why? Because one my male OC is in a relationship with isn’t human, isn’t biological and is an alien and male. You spout off how wrong and sickening that is over IM all because you want to shove your fifteen year old female OC at the character I am playing and he flat out rejected your character. He’s nearly twenty five. He is not a pedo and has no interest in your character. Please stop trying to have your creepy character get into my character pants and trying to shoe horn herself between the two characters just because you don’t agree with what they are doing. Enjoy your temp ban for harassment
